The Methodist Church, Upper Welland

Upper Welland Methodist Church is situated at the east end of Upper Welland Road and holds regular services at 10.30am each Sunday. 

There are a number of regular activities that are supported by and for the wider community and include:

 - on alternate Thursdays between 10.30am and noon a coffee morning in support of Age Concern, Malvern.  Information and advice is always available for those involved in the care of elderly people.  A member, Geoff Blackmore, is the Rural Information Officer for the charity in the Wellands and Hanleys.  He can be contacted on 01684 311282.

 - on alternate Mondays a session of ‘Bending and Bowling’ is held at 3pm in the church.  With chairs pushed well back there is plenty of room for keep fit exercises and, after a cup of tea, for carpet bowling.  It is good fun because no one is particularly good at it!

 - on the 2nd Tuesday of each month we hold a Light Bite Lunch – home-made soup, rolls, cheese and ham, fresh fruit and a hot drink, all for £3.  The lunch is followed by an interesting talk or display, finishing with a cuppa at 3pm.

Besides the morning worship we open the church for teas in the afternoon.  Why not come and enjoy our little church as much as we do?

From September 2008, there is to be a change in the way the Methodist Church in our area is organised.  We shall loose our links with Ledbury and Bromyard and remain just one of three churches in Malvern.
